About Us

Our Family to Yours

Fifteen years ago Eric returned home to Vermont after a stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala.  He was very inspired by the subsistence farming and commercial coffee production that he experienced during his two and a half years living in that country. Drawn to agriculture he approached the Intervale Foundation about the possibilities of starting a farm in the Burlington floodplain.  A little bit of luck and a lot of determination backed by the support of the Intervale Foundation and an aspiring young farmer was able to get a foothold in an emerging market.  Five years later a 108 acre farm was purchased in Starksboro from the Vermont Land Trust. The Rockville Market Farm is a collaboration between Eric and his wife Keenann. The land is beautiful, the air and water are pristine and the farm is blessed with amazing neighbors and a growing clientele. As it turns out starting a farm from scratch is really hard (who knew?). These days the future is bright and it’s a really exciting time to be farming.
